Where: Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors

4358 Starkey Road

Roanoke, VA 24018

Purpose of a Housing First Summit

Adequate and affordable housing is the cornerstone of a
healthy and thriving community.  Unstable living conditions in the Roanoke
region negatively impact the overall quality of community life.  It is in
the interest of multiple stakeholders to find ways to ameliorate the problem.

The Summit will bring together service providers
to discuss the reality of homelessness in the Roanoke region. Providers will
have the opportunity to learn how to add or transition programs to the Housing
First model directly from Pathways to Housing, the nationally recognized
organization credited with the Housing First model, as well as from a homeless
service provider in Virginia
