Radford University Nonprofit Development Program
(Partnership with the Nonprofit Resource Center of Western Virginia)
In partnership with the Council of Community Services, Radford University has established a training program for nonprofit organizations in this region of the state. The RU Nonprofit Development Certificate Program offers the opportunity to earn a Leadership and Management Certificate after completing certain requirements and a number of classes.
The Certificate program focuses on providing the skills needed by current and future leaders of nonprofit organizations. The program is designed to build a foundation of skills in the following core areas: Board and Executive Relations, Leadership and Management Skills, Fund Development and Marketing, and Business Management.
The goal of the Nonprofit Development Program is to provide an affordable, high quality training program that will result in better-managed non-profits serving the communities of this part of the Commonwealth. Individual classes are open to anyone working with a nonprofit organization, either in a paid, volunteer or board role.
The classes are held at Radford University and the Roanoke Higher Education Center. Participants may register for individual classes without being involved in the certificate program. Click here for more information on the program.
