The mission of the Drop-In Center is to provide access to information/education, resources and services in the prevention of HIV/STDs; to offer compassionate support services for persons affected by HIV/AIDS; and to support the ground work for community building projects in a safe and confidential environment.

We provide free, confidential oral HIV testing and oral rapid HIV screening by trained staff through use of the OraSure and OraQuick tests. The OraSure and OraQuick tests require no needles or blood and are highly accurate. The OraQuick rapid HIV antibody test can provide preliminary results in 20 minutes. There is no appointment necessary to be tested.

The Drop-In Center houses a Resource Center containing books, magazines, videos and free informational brochures focused on HIV, STDs, and other health and social related issues. We also house the Drop-In Center Community Library, a lending library of over 3,000 books, videos and DVD’s intended for GLBT and the general community.

We provide a variety of community building and educational programs, and staff is available to come to your agency or facility and provide free prevention/education services and confidential HIV testing.

Our hours are Monday through Friday from 9am – 5pm. We are open on Thursday evenings until 6pm. If you have any questions about our programs, please contact us at 540-982-2437 or at dropncenter@aol.com
